At sweetFrog, we care deeply and genuinely about the communities we serve each and every day by supporting local civic and nonprofit organizations around the globe. sweetFrog also participates with national organizations, helping to further their missions while also bringing hoppiness to their partners and affiliates.
Over the past 5 years, sweetFrog has worked with several leading organizations including:
sweetFrog locations raise money to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association save and improve the lives of kids fighting muscular dystrophy and related life-threatening diseases that limit muscle strength and mobility by participating in the MDA Summer Camp mobile program. In June, sweetFrog associates sell $1 pin-up mobiles that offer customers the opportunity to help send local children affected by neuromuscular diseases to a week at MDA Summer Camp.
“MDA summer camp is often considered ‘the best week of the year’ for our kids, and it wouldn’t be possible without support from partners like sweetFrog and its generous customers and employees," said MDA Executive Director Andrea Shaver. "Each pin-up mobile sold this summer will help support the families we serve and provide some amazing kids with life-changing camp experiences where they can build self-confidence and develop independence in an environment where barriers don’t exist. In addition to the fun and friendship, they acquire important skills that will help guide them into adulthood.”
From Labor Day until Veterans Day, sweetFrog offered customers the opportunity to donate $5 to Our Military Kids in exchange for six BOGO coupons. When customers texted KIDS to 52067, they were prompted to make a $5 donation. Once their donation was complete, customers received one BOGO coupon per month directly to their mobile device over the following six months. Our Military Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to provide support and recognition to military children.
“We are so grateful for sweetFrog’s support, which will go directly toward helping the children of true American heroes,” said Linda Davidson, co-founder and Executive Director of Our Military Kids, Inc. “We’ve learned over the years that one of the best ways to serve our veterans is by helping to give their kids as normal a life as possible. Sports, fine arts, camps and academic tutoring programs help nurture and sustain children during a deployment or a parent’s lengthy recovery and/or rehabilitation.”
In April of 2015, sweetFrog went Bananas for Babies as stores nationwide offered guests the opportunity to donate $1 to the March of Dimes in exchange for a BOGO coupon good on a return visit before 5/31. In addition, a limited edition Bananas for Babies Scoop plush toy was created and made available for purchase in shops with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the March of Dimes.
“The March of Dimes is very excited to be working with sweetFrog, in support of March for Babies,” said Meri-Margaret Deoudes, vice president of strategic alliances and cause marketing for the March of Dimes. “Through their employees and customers, sweetFrog is helping families and playing a vital role towards improving maternal and child health in their local communities.”
